Measure with sample kits

Sample your field
Sample soil with our lightweight soil harvester. Navigate to sampling locations using the TSIP mobile app. Geolocate your soil samples by scanning QR coded sample bags in the field. When your inventory is complete, TSIP will provide a shipping label for you to send your samples to our laboratory partner.
Receive your soil carbon analysis
When TSIP recieves your lab results, we will send you a report including your data, summary statistics, and visualizations of your carbon stocks.
Collecting and combining existing soil carbon data sets
TSIP aggregates publicly available and privately-held soil carbon data to create a national soil carbon inventory across multiple scales – from field to region. We prioritize grower and partner privacy, anonymizing or sharing data only with permission.
Establish regional practice baselines
Regional practice baselines show current regional soil carbon stocks. They make it possible to attribute impact to practice by region and predict change in soil carbon stocks over time.
Publish information for public use
TSIP will publish aggregated and anonymized soil carbon data. This data will be accessible for further analysis by researchers, organizations, and the public.
We model the data
Modeling accounts for soil type, land management, and land use history. TSIP will produce dynamic regional practice baselines, quantifying land management impacts, and project scale soil carbon change over time. When publically available, these data-driven performance-benchmarked baselines will revolutionize the way producers are rewarded for climate smart agriculture.
